Vaccinations and Health

To protect the health of all the cats in our care, your cat must be fit and healthy when checking into Astwood Country Cattery. All cats must be wormed and de-flea’d with in 4 weeks of check in date.  All cats must have proof of vaccination against the following diseases:

  • Feline Infectious Enteritis (FIE) or Parvovirus
  • Feline Herpesvirus (FHV) /Feline Calicivirus (FCV) – cat flu
  • Feline Panleukopenia

Please bring any on going medication in its original packaging, which will be administered to your cat for a small extra charge.  Please note that we do not inject cats or administer inhalers.

Should your cat require veterinary attention during their stay, all veterinary fees must be paid on or before departure.

Your consent must be given at check in to allow Astwood Cattery to administer medicines (in case of vet visit).

Owners of cats with special brushing requirements (such as Persians) must ensure that this is noted on the booking form. Please note that we are not professional groomers.

Whilst we take every care during your cat’s stay, all cats are boarded at the owner’s risk.

Payment

All fees are payable on or before check-in at Astwood Country Cattery.  Your reservations will not be confirmed until payment for boarding is received.

The total booking fee will be charged to secure your booking. Cancellations received in writing more than 8 weeks before the booked arrival date will be eligible for a full refund less £15 admin fee. Cancellations received more than 6 weeks before the booked arrival date will be eligible for a 50% refund.  Cancellations received more 3 weeks before the booked arrival date will be eligible for a 25% refund.  Cancellation received less than 3 weeks before the booked arrival date will not be eligible for any refund.  All refunds are nett of any applicable PayPal fees.

CovidUpdate – Bookings cancelled due to Government imposed travel restrictions (flights cancelled by holiday company etc) will be able to rearrange for another date in 2024 with no cancellation charges, regardless of the notice period.  Evidence will be required.

Day of arrival, day of departure and all days booked are charged for.  Refunds cannot be given for early returns. Late arrivals will be charged from the original date of booking.

 

Checking in

All check in times must be prearranged. 

Check in is between 4.30pm and 7.30pm. Check in is not available on Saturdays.

You will need to complete a simple form giving details about your cat, your contact details, emergency contact details and permission to take your cat to the vet if necessary.  Please e mail Melanie at melanie@astwoodcattery.co.uk for a blank form which you can complete and return before check in or bring with you on the day.  Please allow 15 minutes for check in, faster ‘drop & go’ check in can be arranged, please contact Melanie to discuss 07896 767 907.

Familiar objects will help your cat settle.  Guests are very welcome to bring any beds, blankets, toys, scratch posts or brushes with your cat. These will be used exclusively for your own cat.

All cats must have a scratch post, either provided by the owner or a disposable scratch pad can be purchased from Astwood Cattery, which will last the duration of your cat’s stay.

Checking Out

All chalets must be vacated between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on day of departure.  All check out times must be prearranged. Check out is not available on Saturdays.

Viewings and Parking

Viewings are currently suspended.

We have plentiful free parking on site. 

Data Protection

Your contact details are held on file for use when we need to contact you to discuss your cat.  We will not sell your details to any third parties. Your details are not stored electronically.
